The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, renewed the format of the Council of Rectors, within which he discussed the existing challenges and ways to solve them together with the rectors of the universities.
The meeting was held under the leadership of the minister and rectors of authorized higher public and private educational institutions in Georgia took part in it.
At the meeting of the council, the minister presented his views on the development of higher education to the participants and received information from the rectors about the existing challenges.
Within the framework of the meeting, Giorgi Amilakhvar also answered the questions asked by the representatives of the universities. On their part, the rectors expressed their readiness to work in coordination with the Ministry in order to overcome the challenges in the university spaces.
At the initiative of the minister, the meetings of the board of rectors will be of a permanent nature and will be held in all authorized public and private universities throughout Georgia in order to make effective decisions on ways to solve the existing problems in a timely manner.
