1. University mission:

a)  To preserve the most important achievements of national educational traditions in the university educational-scientific space and to ensure their integration with modern international technological achievements; To use the heritage of Georgian and European scientific schools and to involve the education of future specialists in the provision of high quality higher education in accordance with the requirements of the European dimension;

b)  To promote the expansion of social services (medicine and healthcare, social work and social security, inclusive education, mental health care, education of nurses / nurses, etc.) and to develop readiness for these services in the country; To take care of the involvement of the church, various representations of the society, organizations, social institutions in the social service; Develop ways to improve social policy based on scientific and educational grounds; 

c) Promoting the preservation of cultural heritage in modern society and the development of interrelationships between different cultures, which will lay the foundation for raising public awareness of the importance of cultural heritage, conducting intercultural dialogue, mitigating conflict identity and peaceful coexistence;

d)  To create a social, institutional, ethical (moral) and intellectual (educational-scientific) base in accordance with the requirements of the European dimensions of education in order to educate future generations.

 

2. The goals of the university are:

a) To promote the values ​​of Georgian and world culture, to focus on the ideals of democracy and humanism, which are essential for the existence and development of civil society;

b) Satisfying the needs of higher education, professional development and retraining corresponding to the interests and abilities of the individual;

c) Realization of personal potential, development of creative skills, training of persons with competence to meet modern requirements, ensuring the competitiveness of persons with higher education in the domestic and foreign labor market,Offering high quality higher education relevant to the needs of students and the general public for those interested;

d) Training and retraining of new scientific staff to ensure the development of the state and the viability of its own higher education system, creation, provision and development of conditions for scientific research;

e) Encourage the mobility of students and academic staff in higher education institutions.

 

3. The University shall ensure the creation of conditions that will facilitate the implementation of its mission and the achievement of its objectives.

 

4. The University is authorized to carry out any activity prohibited by law;Regardless of whether this activity is provided for in its founding documents.

 

5. Some activities, the list of which is defined by law, the University may carry out only on the basis of passing a special license / permit or authorization and / or accreditation of educational program (s). The right to carry out these activities arises for the University from the moment of obtaining a license / permit or authorization and / or accreditation of the educational program (s).
