On June 24, 2022, an international scientific conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Turkey "Georgia and Turkey: inter-regional relations" was organized by the Saint Tamar King University of the Patriarchate of Georgia, Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, the Caucasus Socio-Ethno-Linguistic Association and Tbilisi City Council. - Perspectives of scientific and cultural research" the first day of work

On June 24, the conference organizers hosted the participants in the National Library of the Parliament of Georgia.

The second working day of the International Scientific Conference - Georgia and Turkey: Interregional Relations - Scientific and Cultural Research Perspectives - was held at the University of the Patriarchate of Georgia named after St. Tamar King, which was opened by the Rector of the University, Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Archimandrite Adam Vakhtang Akhaladze, who spoke at length about the interregional academic about the need to strengthen relations.

 

At the conference, researchers from different areas - history, ethnology, culture of Georgia and Turkey - presented their reports, who made it clear the importance of presenting and popularizing the scientific and cultural studies of Georgia and Turkey.

At the conclusion of the conference, it was planned to introduce the scientific and cultural studies and activities of the ethnic Georgian diaspora in the Republic of Turkey to the academic and scientific circles, to introduce the literary/scientific works written in Georgian to the Turkish language to the academic circles and the general public, to develop and implement new scientific projects.
